Bobcat Bulletin
SWHS Newsletter April 2021
Welcome to the Bobcat Bulletin!
Message from the Principal
Dear SWHS Families,
"Our unity and support for students and for each other has never been more needed." I wrote this in my March/April newsletter approximately one year ago at the onset of the pandemic. Since that time, we have witnessed and experienced many things. I wish to thank students, families, and staff for their commitment and resilience during this challenging time. I ask us all to continue to remain united and strong as we look to conclude the school year.
Over the coming weeks, the Class of 2021 will have the opportunity to experience many of the traditional end of the year activities, culminating in their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 16. I wish all our seniors a successful conclusion to their high school career!
Despite our challenging circumstances, many students have been able to thrive and excel. Students of all grade levels having earned awards and distinctions throughout the year will be recognized in the upcoming editions of the Bobcat Bulletin in May and June.
Thank you and be well.

School Counseling News
Class of 2021: As you begin to finalize your post-SWHS plans, please complete the Graduation Survey found within your Naviance account under the "About Me" tab. This survey is crucial in ensuring that your final transcript is sent to the proper location in a timely manner. Additionally, if you do not yet have a post-SWHS plan--it is not too late to discuss, research, and/or create a plan. Please reach out to your school counselor for more assistance.
Grades 9-11: Later this month, your 2021-22 preliminary SWHS student schedule will be available to view. Specific details will be sent out regarding the exact date of release, and instructions on how to view. Upon viewing, students should work closely with their school counselor to fill any unmet requests or alter choices. The deadline to make optional schedule changes is June 16, 2021. After June 16, SWHS DOES NOT have an add/drop window where students can freely make schedule changes. Preliminary schedules offer students a glimpse into what to expect next school year, but are not always final; over the summer SWHS Administration reserves the right to make necessary changes in students' schedules in order to balance class sizes and/or address changes in personnel.
