1st Tech Tip - Safari Montage
CREATING A PLAYLIST
One of the best ways to utilize the content available in Safari Montage is to create a playlist based on the current topic of study. These playlists can be shared in Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom with students.
Playlists, as well as individual videos, can be used for differentiation, reinforcement, and remediation in the classroom.
ONE STOP SHOP
Safari Montage is a safe place for students of all ages to search for content related to materials and subjects being discussed in class. Search results include videos, images, weblinks, documents, ebooks, textbooks cartridge materials and more.
SEARCH FEATURES
Safari Montage has many search features that make finding resources very easy and quick.
- Quick Search (top of the screen)
- Keyword Search- (Filters for Grade Range, publishers, and many others)
- Standards Search- Select your standard and see videos that the company has pulled to align with those standards
2nd Tech Tip - Google Tour Builder
Google Tour Builder - tourbuilder.withgoogle.com
Build a tour to take your students on a trip around the land you are studying. Each location you create on the map is a checkpoint. Use the tools on the left to provide students with images, videos, or links to other content. Drag the little yellow peg man onto a location on the map to view it in street view. Tour Builder can be used in multiple subject areas.
If you are interested in using Google Tour Builder in your classroom, schedule a coaching to session so I can model how to use Tour Builder with your students.
Thanks for Reading! See you next Tuesday!
