We are very, very excited to share our music with you. Because this is our first attempt to showcase the talents of our 760+ students, we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we learn together on Friday, December 14. We look forward to building our collaborative community together!
Each concert will last approximately 25 minutes. Guests are encouraged to exit promptly to allow parking access for the next grade-level concert.
Both the upper and lower lots will be available for concert parking. We will open two doors (main entrance, door #2 and lower entrance door #5) fifteen minutes prior to the start of the concert.
We will offer early release after the last concert only. Parents attending the 1st Grade concert are encouraged to use the express checkout system if they wish to take their children immediately following the event. Parents can sign-up first grade students and their siblings for express check-out using this FORM [http://bit.ly/BLEwinterconcert18]. Alternatively, you can print and send an End of Day Change Note to school with your child(ren). To ensure safety for all students, parents who chose not to use the express check-out system will be asked to exit the building and have their child(ren) use their normal end-of-day routine. Express check-out parents will meet their child(ren) in the Bay Lane Commons (cafeteria) following the concert.
IMPORTANT: To ensure bus access, all guests using the lower lot for the final concert will need to leave promptly. If you are planning on checking your child(ren) out early after the 1st grade concert, you MUST park in the upper lot or use street parking!

Parent Satisfaction Survey
Dear Parents and Guardians,
If you haven't already, we encourage you to fill out the Parent Satisfaction Survey linked below!
Our district is on a continuous journey to make our schools the best places for students to learn, staff to work, and parents to send their children for a good education. In this effort, we appreciate your support. It is important to gather feedback from you to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth. Please take a few minutes and complete this Parent Satisfaction Survey to help provide this feedback.
Once the survey is complete, the results will be analyzed by an outside organization. The data from the survey will be sent to each school and the Superintendent. Then, the results of the survey will be shared with parents and the community.
The survey can be accessed online at: MNSD Parent Satisfaction SurveySurvey
Thank you for interest in and support of your child's education with us. Please contact sara.stanley@muskegonorway.org if you have any questions concerning the survey.
Staying In for Recess
It's Cold Outside!
The temperature on the thermometer is falling and we want to ensure our students are prepared for the upcoming weather changes.
Please make sure your little ones are dressed appropriately for the weather each day. Students will be going outside unless the wind chill is below 0°, to allow them time for fresh air, exercise and fun! It is a great idea to keep an extra pair of socks and mittens in a pocket of their backpack in case the first pair gets wet during recess.
When snow is on the ground, please help students remember to have boots and snow pants with them at school. We also ask that students take these items home with them on the weekends to be washed. Thank you for your support.

School Lunch and Recess Schedule and Menu
A message from food service:
Please make sure when sending in money with your child for hot lunch to clearly mark the students name in the "memo section" of the check or if sending cash write students name on the envelope. This ensures the money goes into the family account. Also, when sending money, please discuss with your child the importance of turning funds in right away rather than being held in backpacks, lockers, or folders.
