SC Market Beef

NEW IN 2018!! All 4-H & FFA Market Beef will need an EID tag for 4-H & FFA in Saunders County in 2018.

There will be a cost for the EID tags, tag cost will be $2 per tag.

Tags will be available at the Beef Weigh Day, on March 11. However, if you need tags for the Cattlemen Classic show, EID tags are expected to be in February 1! ( Please call before coming in to get one)

More complete 2018 Tag information should be coming out from us in mid February, as we are still waiting for some final information from the state 4-H office on I.D. information and procedures.

Livestock Judging Practice

Livestock judging practice will be held on the following Sundays:

Practices will be held at 3:00 p.m. with a location to be announced.

Saunders County Leader Banquet & Training

Come join us for some training, some tips, your leader packets and snacks! It'll be similar to usual but with a few new things!

Saunders County Trapshooting

Any youth grades 6-12 that are interested in Trapshooting are welcome contact Ashland 4H Gun Club for details. Season is January - May with competitions March -May. We meet at the Ashland Gun Club 3.5 miles N of Ashland, NE. Season kickoff meeting is 1/13/18.

Companion Animal Challenge

The 4-H Companion Animal Challenge is held annually on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln East Campus. This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The Companion Animal Challenge offers a vareity of 4-H companion animal contests that don't require live animals, including a Demonstration Contest, Dog Quiz Bowl, Skillathon Contest, Art Contest, and Photography Contest. Youth have the opportunity to display their companion animal knowledge through these contests both as individuals and as part of a team. There is a $5 entry fee per contestant. A Brown Bag Lunch is available through a pre-order form. T-shirts need to be pre-ordered in order to secure a shirt.

PASE/ Life Challenge Youth Advisory Board

What is the Youth Advisory Board? The Youth Advisory Board is an event board whose members are selected by the PASE/Life Challenge Event Coordinators. The board advises the coordinators on youth issues and serves as a means for youth involved in PASE and Life Challenge to become active members in the events and to have an official voice in shaping the experience. Each board member serves a one-year term with the option to reapply each year.

Who is eligible to serve on the YAB? Any current Nebraska 4-H youth who has attended PASE or Life Challenge within the previous two years.
