She's Here!

The newest member of the Sunflower family is here!

Jules Judah Wright arrived on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:05 p.m.— 21.5 inches long + 10lbs of hair and cheek!

Mrs. G wants to share this with you!

This sweet story about a bear will help explain social distancing to even the youngest kids.

All three programs can be used on computers, tablets, and smartphones, and you can add up to three children per account!

How to Get Your Free Accounts:

Big picture

How will we get our spring pictures? (repeat)

In the coming weeks, families will receive an email with an individualized code for ordering and instructions on how to order spring INDIVIDUAL pictures. Families can use the instructions and this code to access the gallery and pay for picture orders.

We haven't received the class photos yet. We are still working on the best way to deliver those to those of you who ordered a class photo. More information to come.

school playgrounds are closed (repeat)

With our schools being closed, as well as the latest health recommendations to stop the possible spread of COVID-19, the use of playground equipment is discouraged. USD 231 playgrounds are closed.

STUDENT TRANSFER PROCESS (repeat)

A completed request will be required for any student who seeks to attend a school that is not within his or her primary geographic attendance boundary or for any student who does not live within the Gardner Edgerton School district boundaries. Each request needs to be made electronically via the Google Forms link below.

In order to process student Intra-District transfer and Non-Resident requests for SY 20-21 in a timely manner, the following timeline has been established:

Monday, March 9 - Intra-District transfer and Non-Resident request hyperlinks are accessible to the public.

Friday, April 17 - Last day for families to submit transfer requests.

Families will be notified of decisions by June 13, 2020.

Some extra reminders:

 A separate request is required for EACH student.

 Requests are considered on the basis of class sizes, future enrollments, and the student’s attendance, academic progress, and conduct.

 The request is valid for one year only and may not be renewed due to class size increases (crowded conditions) or if the student does not fulfill the necessary academic progress, attendance, and conduct requirements.

 When applicable, students who do not re-apply for an intra-district transfer will be returned to their school of residency in Skyward, based on current address.

 Students/families who are delinquent as it relates to paying FEES will not be approved for transfer until fees are paid.

 If transfer is approved, transportation WILL NOT be provided by the district.

 Approval, regardless of “Reason for Request”, is NOT guaranteed.

 USD 231 reserves the right to cancel, revoke, or rescind approved requests at any time.
