How do you think your students will do on their Middle of the Year screeners?
There is no doubt that our students have participated in meaningful instruction during the first semester and we will see significant gains from where they were at the beginning of the year to now. It is always affirming when what we know as their teacher calibrates with how they perform on screeners. It is imperative that students understand the importance of doing their best during testing because their results will be used in designing their targeted instruction. Please take time to review the following when conducting MOY screeners:
- Carefully review MAP testing schedule provided by Mrs. Hayes
- Review with students your expectations for testing
- Explain to students the purpose of testing
- Actively monitor your students during testing. Please do not sit at a computer or work on other things while your students are testing.
Thank you Mr. Mendoza for leading our PLC.
