Principal's Notes for 8/23/21
Park Hall Families,
This time of year is very exciting and energizing for us all as we kick off a new school year. We look forward to welcoming students back into the building for 5 days a week and we have a strong plan to meet the needs of all our students over the 2021-22 school year!
We have a few reminders and important dates:
CHANGES TO NOTE:
- All students will be in the building Monday through Friday
- No more A days/B day schedules or hybrid schedules
- No more asynchronous days
- No Google meets from home
OPEN HOUSE:
We have 600 students attending Park Hall and to help maximize and personalize the open house experience, we have spread out the timeframes for families to attend.
- Open house for Pre-K is Friday, August 27 from 9:30-12:00 by appointment. The pre-kindergarten teacher will be contacting each family to schedule an appointment.
- Open house for kindergarten is Friday, August 27 by appointment. Kindergarten teachers will be contacting each family to schedule an appointment.
- Open house for grades 1-5 will be held on Friday, August 27. We are suggesting that students in grades 1-5 with the last name starting with the letters A-M attend from 1:00-2:00 and students in grades 1-5 with the last names N-Z attend from 2:00-3:00.
Please label and bring your child's school supplies to open house. If you have a school issued IPAD, please bring that to open house to exchange for a laptop.
CLASS DOJO:
- We will continue to utilize ClassDojo as a primary tool for communication between teachers and our families. If you have not signed up, you will receive information from your child's teacher as to how to register.
TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS/CLASS PLACEMENT:
- The Home Access Center or HAC opens on Wednesday, August 25 at 8:00 am. Families can view their child's teacher at that time. Please contact the main office for HAC login information and passwords.
TRANSPORTATION, BUS AND PARENT PICK-UP INFORMATION:
- Bus stop, bus number and approximate pick-up and drop-off times can be found by clicking here after August 16th as routes are still being finalized.
- Parent drop off begins at 8:40 am this year and students can be picked up at 3:20 pm. Parents can sign-up to get a pick-up placard from the office or during pick-up/drop-off during the first few days of school.
- PLEASE let your child teacher know how your child will be getting home from school (Parent pick-up or bus number). This is very important to help us get all students home safely and free from any stress.
