Big picture

Free Lunches for All Students for the Rest of 2020!

As you may have heard on the news, the USDA has announced that children are eligible to receive free meals at school through December 31, 2020. Families will receive a credit in their accounts for all meals ordered and paid for in September. Ordering meals on-line for the months of October, November and December will not be necessary. We will have meals (including milk) available for children at school free of charge. On-line ordering will resume December 1 -15 for the month of January. You can view lunch menus on the website at If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Vargas at

E-learning families will be able to pick up two (2) days’ worth of meals at St. Ann every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In addition, you can pick up meals for your children at home ages 2 years to 18 years … even those not enrolled in the school. Meal entrees that need to be heated at home will include heating instructions inside each of the individual two day meal boxes. All meals include a carton of milk.

So as not to waste meals, we ask that e-learning families please opt in by indicating their choice on this form. If you have no desire to drive to the school three times a week to pick up meals, please opt out so that food does not go to waste. You can change your mind at a later date, but we really do not want to have to throw away food, so please indicate your choice by Sunday, September 6.

Study Buddies

Would your student be interested in volunteering to be a Study Buddy with a child in Extended Day via Google? If so, please email Principal Gonzalez:

Congratulations to our newly elected Class Representatives:

Grade 8: Ava Dabrowski & Jay Lopez

Grade 7: Olivia Cisneros & Marissa Fields

Grade 6: Davian Brown & Ryan Espino

Grade 5: Toni Ogunyoye & Ethan Lopez

They will join our Executive Board members (Jayda Caver, Ava DeMay, Natalie Gray, Gianna Hillegonds, and Miley Podgorski) to form the 2020/21 SAS Student Council. A formal induction will take place soon. Let's wish them all well as they lead the school under some very strange circumstances!

We are excited to once again participate in the Apples for the Students program through our local Strack & VanTil store! Last year, we accumulated enough points to purchase cameras and video equipment. Please ask everyone you know to save their Strack's receipts from September 1 - March 1, and have your child bring them in to school. We will have collection envelopes in every classroom. Thank you!
