Seek Excellence, Achieve Results

Principal's Message

I hope you enjoyed a great long weekend!

This will be a short and sweet week as we begin Extended Tutoring until 4:30pm afterschool and on Friday/Saturdays. This past fall we saw that "hard work pays off," our focus this spring is to see our students read at grade-level and pass the STAAR assessment. We've come so far, we can almost feel the success!

Thank you for continuing to work relentlessly to see our students succeed.

A few notes and reminders--

  • Classrooms sparkled for Parent Teacher Night! Please continue to maintain our classroom environments "learning-ready" and turn in the Classroom Environment Checklist and Parent Sign-In Sheet to Mrs. Ramos if you have not done so already.

  • When using the computer lab, please be mindful of the equipment and actively monitor students to ensure students are taking utmost advantage of Achieve 300, IStation and Reasoning Minds.

  • The Lion's Club vision bus will be here on January 27th (please note the date change). They provide free eye exams and glasses to students in need. Please remind students and parents to take advantage of this free service and great opportunity.

  • A field trip to Stockard Middle School for fifth graders is scheduled for February 9th. This trip provides students an opportunity to see the middle school setting and become familiar with expectations for the upcoming school-year. Please encourage all fifth grade students to turn in their application and attend.
