Congratulations to our Helping Hand's Acts of Kindness Recipients this Week!
StJP is Making a Difference!
Dear BRF Friends at St. Joseph the Protector School,
Once again we were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the St.Joseph the Protector community for our Valentine's Program. Your beautiful handmade cards and treat bags helped us "Share the Love" with 90 Breathing Room families this year. That is about 300 people who read your handmade notecards and enjoyed your Hershey Kisses and little puzzle books...and just felt the love and support of their Breathing Room Friends at SJP. Your specific SJP families read your greetings but so did many other BRF families. Your generosity allowed us to "Share the Love" with numerous other BRF families.
Our volunteers and BRF employees LOVE to read the cards from the children. The colorful handmade drawings and heartfelt well wishes made us all smile. It is the perfect way to brighten up the dreary days of February. I wish you could hear the phone calls we receive from recipients who are so touched and even crying from this small gesture of support.
Here are some of their written thank you notes:
"Thank you so much I received a treat bag and the kids make you feel so good....."
"Thank you very, very much for the wonderful gift! Hope you have a great day and awesome Valentine’s Day! Mom and Dad were ecstatic! The cards are the best part!
"My husband enjoyed reading all the Valentines and sorting through the goodies. We thank you so much for providing us a smile and support during this devastating time for our family. With Love,"
"What a lovely surprise when I came home to find the gift bag of Valentine goodies. Thank you so much for remembering us.We are so appreciative. Blessings to you all from our hearts."
"Oh my goodness! We just came back home and saw this huge basket!!. My son loves the cookies and the blanket (and secretly loves the stuffed dog). Thank you!!"
Thank you so much for encouraging your students to share their time and talent with the Breathing Room families. Huge THANK YOU to Kate Stec for organizing and coordinating our partnership this year.
Thank you!
Eileen and all your Breathing Room Friends

Winter Art Workshop
Please mark your calendars for the Winter Art Workshop show on Sunday, March 13 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The artists’ work will be displayed along the second floor corridor and the art room at the Jenkintown campus of Saint Joseph the Protector School.
This semester’s theme is “Art in the Ordinary.” Students have been challenged to take ordinary objects and closely examine them in regarding to lighting, composition, and later in the semester, color.
The invitations represent the work of each individual artist from the first three weeks of the program. Currently, the students are working on a large scale project, as well as two other painting projects, which will be on display at our school. Join us and be inspired!
