Louis Good-Assistant Principal
Dear Parents and Families,
November is a time intended for giving thanks and honoring our Veterans. Please ask your child what they are thankful for. How are they showing thankfulness and appreciation? Each student will contribute a thankful leaf to a school-wide project. We are very fortunate to have a school community with a nurturing staff, happy students, and caring parents. Happy Thanksgiving and Native Heritage Day! Enjoy your Thanksgiving Recess with friends and family!
Mrs. Batts
It's great to be a Wildcat!

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Don't forget to wear tennis shoes!
We require students to wear proper tennis shoes in Physical Education for a few very important reasons:
- Safety: We participate in activities and games where we are running or otherwise moving quickly. Boots and other slick soled shoes present a threat, not only to the person wearing them, but to their classmates as well.
- Ease of movement: Movement and skills are a part of every lesson and we ask students to give their best effort possible. Students can move quicker or kick a ball better when they are wearing tennis shoes.
- Acceptable shoes may be lace up or Velcro, be well-fitting, and non-marking. If the shoe comes off during activity, that is not deemed “well-fitting.”
- NOT Acceptable shoes include dress shoes and boots (Ugg style, hiking, cowboy boots, work boots, Doc Martens, Timberlands) should be avoided. Crocs, slippers, lounge-type shoes, sandals, slides are not acceptable for PE. Dress shoes/boots, or anything with a raised heel should not be worn to PE.
Thank you for your understanding!
FALL WEATHER
We are finally heading into the colder, wetter months of the school year. We will have outdoor recess as much as possible as long as conditions are safe for students to be outside. Please be sure your students come to school dressed for the weather. Wear coats, hats, gloves, socks, shoes that protect their feet, and maybe even a change of clothes in case they get wet.
Please also take a moment to label outer-wear with a permanent marker in case it is misplaced. If your child is missing their coat, please ask them to check the lost and found in the gym.
Note From the Counselor!
Absences add up! Missing just 2 days a month means a children misses 10% of the school year. #SchoolEveryday
