Dear da Vinci Families,

We are so excited to see the musical production coming to life! Be sure to make plans to come see The Beauty and the Beast, Jr. opening this week on Thursday night. The students and directors have been working exceptionally hard and it's sure to be a delight! Share the news. Below you will find ticket links and a link to the volunteer sign up. We do need more adult support for each show. Additionally, the PTSA is looking for help to sell flowers for the opening and closing shows.

Enjoy a few picture of our Door Decorating project, a school-wide activity for Black History Month. This week we had a short assembly to celebrate first semester awards and announce the winner, Ms. Edin's art class. In early April we will have another assembly by our Black Student Union.

Check out the flyer and announcement from our Leo Leaders who are planning a hygiene product drive and a student dance. We will need adult volunteers to support the dance and thank you in advance for supporting the drive to benefit houseless youth in our community.

Outdoor School is just a few weeks away for our 6th graders! Look for emails soon to confirm final details about the departure times on March 19th and more. Don't forget to look at that packing list in advance.

Don't miss da Vinci’s spring production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr! Actors and technicians have been working hard these past few months to put on a fabulous production just for you. Watch as a story of love, heartbreak, jealousy and remorse unfolds. No one could ever love a beast, right? When Belle is forced to go after her father she meets something far scarier, and possibly beautiful. This amazing story will change your perspective of love.

Our Leo Leaders are running a drive for products to donate to the New Avenues for Youth Project. The project kicks off this Wednesday and runs through March 17th. Items should be brought to first period classrooms. Thank you for your support.

For the upcoming musical we need volunteers for each show to supervise backstage and help with front of house duties. Please see our SignupGenius site for slots available and to sign up.

The da Vinci student leaders are planning a Student Dance for April 28th and need volunteers to make this a reality. Please see the sign up link below and let us know if you can commit to helping.

If you have a rising 7th or 8th grader, we need their elective choices registered in StudentVue. Please check in with them to see if they have completed this step. If you look at StudentVue with them, you can see their selections. This information will help guide our scheduling and staffing decisions.

THIS Wednesday is Dine for da Vinci!

The next Dine for da Vinci will be THIS Wednesday, March 8th between 5-9 pm at Chipotle at 910 SE 10th. The PTSA will be receiving 33% of their sales and you will need the (below) flier or you can enter a code (in RED on the flier, below) when ordering online. Share with everyone you know to enjoy dinner while giving back to da Vinci!

We had a great turnout for the da Vinci store last Wednesday where students and families were happy to purchase some da Vinci swag and other fun items. We’re doing this each month so stay tuned for the next date we’ll be open!

This Thursday - Flower Sales for March 9th Beauty and the Beast Show

The opportunity to purchase flowers will be available for the Beauty and the Beast Performance this Thursday, March 9th before the show and during intermission (while supplies last). Cash and Cards will be accepted. We will also have this opportunity on the last Beauty and Beast Performance on Saturday, March 18th!

Donations needed for the da Vinci Arts Middle School Annual Auction!

The PTSA is looking for donations and additional help with the school’s biggest fundraiser, the da Vinci Arts Middle School Auction. This event will be online starting on Friday, April 21st going through Sunday, May 7th and will support our da Vinci students and staff!

We are still seeking donations from the DV Community!

- Do you have a business that you would provide a gift certificate or item to donate?

· Are you interested in reaching out to businesses for donations?

The next PTSA Meeting

Save the date for Wednesday, March 15th from 6:00-7:15 pm for our next da Vinci PTSA meeting both in person in the da Vinci Cafeteria and on Zoom. This year, dinner is provided for the in-person meeting,

We had a great meeting last month and several da Vinci students and Leo Leaders joined online. It was great to hear from the students. Please consider joining the next meeting with your student and RSVP HERE. Join us so we can build our community and support our teachers and students.

Spring Plant Fundraiser – help volunteer!

We are having the da Vinci Spring Plant Fundraiser in May and we need volunteers to help on Plant Delivery Day on Tuesday, May 9th and then again after school on May 9th, 10th and 11th to help with Plant pick-ups. These plants and herbs from New Leaf Greenhouse are great quality and will arrive just in time for planting season so please sign up HERE if you are interested in helping with this fundraiser.
