Music Newsletter For May
Kindergarten and 1st grade are putting the final touches together for their concert on May 18th. Please arrive between 5:30 -5:45 and have one parent drop off your child at their homeroom. Please wear something colorful on top and something nice on the bottom. Girls may wear a dress if they wish. Please try to stay away from jeans and tennis shoes. The concert will be between 30-35 minutes. For the safety of all performers, I ask that parents pick up their children from their homerooms after the concert is finished. They have worked very hard and are excited to perform for you.
2nd -5th grade are experiencing the Ukulele for the first time. There are different difficulty levels for each grade level. Going from the very basics to learning and playing multiple chords along with music.
2nd grade is learning about rests, pitches, and reading rhythms.
3rd grade is learning how to read and play rhythms.
4th grade is composing their own songs.
5th grade is learning about note names, reading complex rhythms, and musical composition.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Have a great day,
Mr. Dison
