Do Your Students Need Some Motivation?
It's that time of the year..where teachers are trying EVERYTHING in their toolbox to get kiddos to participate and give their full efforts in school...
Need a new idea that will speak to your students?
Try out Class Badges!
ITM 28: Class Badges
Awards
Students could get a badge for specific awards you have set for your own classroom like "Perfect Attendance for the Week."
Proficient on a Standard
Create a badge for each standard and when students show proficiency, they can earn a badge for that standard.
Gamify Your Class
Turn your class into different levels and when they master so many skills in one level, they can earn a badge!
I think this would be cool to do in P.E. with mile time, amount of push ups, sit ups, etc. to get to a new level!
As the Semester Wraps Up, Remind Yourself That....
It's OKAY to use pencil and paper!
Writing by hand has great cognitive benefits that keyboarding doesn't.
Switching Up What You Do is a Good Thing!
Unfortunately, kids get bored easily. Challenge yourself to use different websites or resources for activities instead of the same one--this helps their critical thinking skills, too!
Sharing is not Bragging!
You all do AMAZING things. Seriously! Take time to share what you are doing with others. Something little you are doing could be exactly what someone needs!
