We Are Hiring
We are looking for a caring and compassionate person to join our dynamic team of paraeducators who support our center based program.
We are also hiring a crossing guard to assist students and families with safely crossing the street before and after school.
For more information or to apply, Click here.
Please help us spread the word!
Good Attendance Matters
We have learned that students who miss even a couple of days each month are at greater risk of academic failure and dropping out than students who attend regularly. We have a goal that every student in our school attends regularly, striving for five or fewer absences in the year. Please send your child to school every day unless they have a contagious illness or are running a fever. Please call the office if your child is absent and remember to provide a doctor’s note if your child is seen by a physician.
A whole year has 365 days.
A school year has only 174 days.
That leaves 191 days to spend on family time, holidays, vacations, and appointments.
Let us know how we can best support you and your children so that they can show up for school on time every day. We want your child to be successful in school! If you have any questions or need more information please contact the school.
Prairie Ridge Attendance Policy
Ten absences may be excused during the school year when a parent/guardian calls the office and provides a reason for the absence, or provides a note from a doctor or other medical professional. After ten absences, a doctor’s note will be required for an absence to be considered excused.
**The St Vrain Valley School District has explicit policies for unexcused absences and tardies. The full policy can be found on the district website HERE or you may contact the office for a copy.
Celebrating Outstanding Attendance
To encourage outstanding attendance, we will be celebrating students who maintain 5 or fewer absences for the whole school year with “Outstanding Attendance” brag tags that they can be displayed on their back pack.
· Students will earn their first tag at the first trimester assembly in November if they have 5 or fewer absences.
· They will earn their second tag at the second trimester assembly in February if they continue to have 5 or fewer absences.
· And finally, students will earn their third tag at the third trimester assembly in May if they still have 5 or fewer absences for the whole school year.
Students who collect all three brag tags during the year will be invited to an end of
school year attendance celebration in May!
