Principal's Post
Dear Trumbauersville Families,
As we head toward the long Thanksgiving holiday break (Reminder that we do have school on Wednesday, 11/25!), I want to share how thankful I am for all of our school community. I am especially thankful for the continued health and safety of our community. I know that we are all managing various limitations to what would be a typical Thanksgiving Holiday with many gatherings of families and friends and I am grateful for the collective attention to those limitations. It is only in working together that we will continue to protect our school community from COVID-19.
Please take a few moments to read through the important information in this week's school newsletter.
Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday!
Best,
-Adam

A.L.I.C.E at Trumbauersville
The A.L.I.C.E plan will be implemented in all QCSD schools. At the elementary level we will introduce the implementation in stages so that all staff and students feel supported and confident knowing what to do in the event of an active crisis. Classroom teachers will provide the training to their students with support from the guidance counselor and other support personnel.

Instructional Environment Between Thanksgiving and Winter Break-- 12/1-12/23
Families can request to switch from live instruction to virtual for the period between Thanksgiving break and winter break. Students who are looking to switch would need to commit to virtual instruction for the duration of the time (12/1-12/23), be in good standing with attendance and academic progress, and be able to meet the requirements of Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) via a virtual setting.
If you are interested in switching to the virtual instructional environment, please fill this google form out by November 30th.
If you have more than one child in our school, please fill out one form per child.

We Encourage You to Apply for Free & Reduced Meals
QCSD parents and guardians.
As the 2020-2021 school year has been like nothing we've experienced before, we would like to strongly encourage families to apply for the Free & Reduced Meals Program. Families that qualified for Free & Reduced meals in the 2019-2020 school year were eligible for Pandemic EBT Benefits through the State during the spring and early summer. That benefit provided a debit card to purchase groceries based on Free & Reduced information.
Currently, our district is providing ALL families with children up to the age of 18 with FREE breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the school year through funds from the US Department of Agriculture. However, if you do not have a current application on file for the 2020-2021 school year, you could miss benefits from the state, should it decide to provide the Pandemic EBT Benefits again.
Please click here for the Free & Reduced Meal Program applications.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Stacy Reiss, Free & Reduced Lunch Program, at sreiss@qcsd.org or 215-529-2022.
