SEL Activity: Empathy – Think Before You Speak
PK-5 Activity:
- Explain to students that the things we say can either be helpful, hurtful, not helpful, or kind.
- The things we say can impact how others feel.
- It is important to think about what we are saying before we actually say anything.
PK – 2
You may wish to work as a whole group to sort the scenarios into stacks.
3 – 5
Pass out the activity sheet and have students sort the examples into stacks or discuss each scenario whole group.
