Homecoming Slated for Sept. 22

Mars Hill will celebrate Homecoming on Friday night, Sept. 22 when the Panthers face the Sheffield Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Join us for a week of fun activities:

Monday: Homecoming Week Kickoff Breakfast

Tuesday: Alumni Chapel, 11:35

Wednesday: Middle School Extended Lunch,

Stomp Off Class Competition & Lawn Decoration Judging

Thursday: Powder Puff Football, 1:30-3

Friday: Game @ 7; Homecoming Festivities at Halftime;

Reception Honoring Classes of 1947, 1957, 1967, 1977. 1987, 1997. 2007, 2017

Post-Game Party (9th-12th) sponsored by Booster Club

Congratulations to the young ladies selected to represent their classes on this year's Court: seniors Jolie Bates, Sarah Henry, Savannah Montgomery, Sara Beth Searcy, and Anna Lea Stewart; juniors Sadie Segars and Chloe Smith; sophomores Lucy Clark and Kylie Thigpen; and freshmen Sadie Killen and Samantha King.

Book Fair Next Week

The Middle School/High School Media Center will be hosting a Crane Book Fair September 11-15. The book fair will be open daily from 7:45-3:30. All proceeds will benefit the library. Cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted forms of payment. Please contact sharmon@mhbs.org for questions.

Calling All Scouts

Cub Scout and Boy Scout sign up for Mars Hill will be on Thursday night, September 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will meet in the foyer of the high school building in front of Morris Auditorium. All boys ages 7 to 11 are invited to sign up for Cub Scouts, and boys ages 12-18 are invited to sign up for Boy Scouts. The yearly application fee is $33.00 per Scout. Tutoring Available

Tutoring and homework help will be provided Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3-4 pm in room M-133 beside the HS/MS office. There is no charge. This will start Tuesday after Labor Day. If you are interested in your child staying, please email kburnett@mhbs.org
