Literary Holiday: Hobbit Day
We are doing a flyer on Hobbit Day! :)
We want to celebrate the day known as Hobbit Day at our school!
Hobbit Day is the birthday of two very famous Hobbits, known as Frodo and Bilbo Baggins.
It is every year on Sept. 22.
On this day, Hobbit fans gather up and celebrate the day of their favorite book (and movie, if you could count that.)
.
These are some ways to celebrate Hobbit Day.
Making fitting lunches.
To celebrate Hobbit Day, you need to have a fitting lunch. Try to pack mushrooms, cold meats, scones, maybe some honey, veggies, apples, blackberries, pickles, ripe cheese, hot soup, and tea. You aren't forced to have all of these although.
Celebrating in the classroom.
Play a lot of games in the classroom! The hobbits had loved to play games, so it would be appropriate for us to do that as well. Also, we could be able to read haikus and limericks. They apparently liked that too.
Lastly, make a special cake.
This is a great final meal with the other foods. One of the staff or teachers should make a gigantic cake for each river. They each should have two candles, in honor of the two hobbits.
