Parent Survey

Our annual parent survey is linked below this article. We hope that you will take the time to fill it out because the information you provide is essential in helping us to improve. We like to see where you think we are on target, and where we need to focus more attention. We value your opinions to help us continue to move toward our goal of becoming the premier elementary school and district in Texas. Thank you in advance for your help.

Pre-K Pics

Our Pre-K students enjoyed a science experiment this week exploring how wind is used for energy. They enjoyed making a balloon "Blast Off".

Kindergarten Field Trip

Our kinder students enjoyed a trip on the school bus to the play, Beauty and the Beast.

1st Grade Winter Poems

Our 1st graders are enjoying learning about weather tools and meteorologists. They were fascinated with the green screen. So, today they recited their Winter poem in front of a green screen, and we inserted a winter background.

2nd Grade Pictographs

These second graders explored the type of fingerprints they each have and then graphed the information in pictographs and bar graphs.

Memorial Scholarship

An endowed scholarship is being set up through the Van Alstyne Education Foundation to honor Reagan and Grant Small. All donations are tax free and will help us to continue to honor the memory of these two precious children for years to come. Checks can be made payable to the VAEF with Reagan and Grant's name in the memo line. You may send your monetary donation to:

Van Alstyne Education Foundation
P.O. Box 1620
Van Alstyne, TX 75495

With an endowed scholarship once the requirements are met, the foundation will be able to give a scholarship each year without having to continuously raise the money yearly. Karen and her family will be able to present this scholarship and continue to keep the memory of her children alive for years to come. If you could help with any amount at all, it will be GREATLY appreciated.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Coleman at 903-816-4321 or sm_aggie02@hotmail.com.
