Summer reading is important! The English Landing library wants to see what award-winning books you are reading this summer! At Mid-Continent libraries there are many displays showcasing Mark Twain nominees and Show Me Award nominees as well.

With parent permission, take a selfie and send it to Mrs. Schneider ( with one of your favorite nominees this summer, and Mrs. Schneider will display your summer reading in the media center this fall. My first book on the list is LOOT! What will I see you reading this summer?

An Eagle in the Spotlight!

You never know when you will see an eagle! Jake Valentine, third grade student, was selected to promote a collaborative campaign between Subaru and LLS.

Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) announced a partnership to provide much needed support and “warmth” to cancer patients and their families in communities across the country. During Subaru’s Love to Care Month this June, LLS and participating Subaru dealers across the country will provide warm blankets and messages of hope, written by consumers at the participating Subaru retailers, to local hospitals and treatment centers for patients undergoing treatment. In turn, these caring consumers will receive an LLS Someday is Today bracelet, to help spread awareness about the goal of the partnership to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time.
