Minicourses and Resources

Below are some of the minicourse topics and ideas that will be offered at the QuakerEd Collaborative event. Please join us to learn more!

Faith and Play

Faith & Play™ is a Montessori-inspired storytelling resource that helps children find words and images for expressing their experiences and deepening their understandings. Play is children’s practice, hence the name Faith & Play, deriving from Faith and Practice.

This interactive minicourse will introduce participants to the Faith & Play™ practice.

Quakerism and the Arts

Learn about how a DC Area educator shares Quakerism and the Arts with middle school students. In this interactive course, participants will discover how they might use Playback Theatre (storytelling, and story listening) to learn about and share the guiding practices and history of the Religious Society of Friends.

Testimonies Rock!

This interactive exhibit is being used to help students of varying ages learn about and understand Quaker testimonies. Participants will share in the experience of developing personal, school wide, classroom, or other testimonies. This course is a great place to deepen understandings and connections between testimonies and how students might go out into the world and Let their Lives Speak!

Please feel free to share this invitation.
