Thank you for all the sweet gifts and cards last week for Teacher Appreciation. It's an honor to work with your child everyday.

Next year...

Next year I will be an English as a Second Language (ESL) specialist within the district. I am looking forward to this new opportunity. KHES is a wonderful campus and I have been truly blessed by the caring staff, parents and students. Your children have taught me so much this year and I am grateful for them.

Recorders needed all week

Students will need their recorder EVERY day this week for stage rehearsals!

Bear Creek Parent Orientation

Monday, May 16th, 6-7pm

Keller, TX

Can you believe it's almost time for 5th grade? Please make plans to find out about Bear Creek and what you can expect as a parent. This meeting is more for parents as we will tour the school the next day, Tuesday, May 17.

Recorder, Bucket Drumming and Honor Choir concert

Monday, May 16th, 7pm

KHES Cafeteria

May 16th 7:00 p.m. in the KHES cafeteria. Report at 6:45 p.m., buckets and choir to the music room and all others to their 4th grade classroom.

Bear Creek Intermediate Tour

Tuesday, May 17th, 9am

801 Bear Creek Parkway

Keller, TX

Students will be led on tours by current BCI students and get a preview of what next year will be like! We will be gone about an hour total.

Play Day

Thursday, May 19th, 9am

601 Pate Orr Road North

Keller, TX

We will be outside at Keller High School most of the day. Students will participate in several events against other schools in the district. This is a fun day and we expect great sportsmanship from all our students! Students will need sunscreen, hat, water and snacks. We will eat lunch after we return to school.

A note from Mrs. Masters...

Dear parents of 3rd and 4th graders,

This summer we have a great music enrichment for Keller-Harvel. In addition to myself, two other local music teachers from Zimma-Rimba will be directing a marimba music camp. In one week you will learn to play Zimbabwean Marimbas. The music is exciting with amazing instruments that your children will love.

Meet the teachers
Instructors Mary Carla Whitaker and Jeremy Phillips are both elementary music teachers and have taught marimba to over a thousand students. They direct one of the few Zimbabwean Marimba Bands in Texas. Learning with them is both exciting and effortless.
