Come See Gananda High School Drama Club Perform "Mamma Mia!"What do you do when your daughter's three possible dads show up on the eve of her wedding? You sing and dance to a dozen ABBA tunes! Ruben A. Cirillo High School Drama Club invites you to join in on this high-energy celebration of life, love and friendship. You'll laugh, you may shed a tear, but mostly you'll want to dance in the aisle! Shows are scheduled for Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 at 7:30pm and Sunday, April 7 at 1:30pm. Admission is $8 per person or $7 for students and seniors. Please note: this show contains some adult humor and themes and is recommended for ages 13+. | Community Film Screening To Be Held March 27 Gananda Central School District and Wayne County Partnership for Strengthening Families are joining together to bring a free film screening of the movie "Resilience" to parents and community members. Please join us for this one hour movie discussing the challenges childhood adversity can lead to later in life and steps that can be made while children are young to help mitigate the effects of adversity. Petitions Now Available for the Gananda Central School District Board of Education Seats
Candidates interested in running for a seat on the Gananda Central School District Board of Education can now pick up their petition form. Petitions are available by printing the form from our website, by requesting one in-person in the District Office located in Gananda Middle School at 1500 Dayspring Ridge, Walworth between 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., or by calling the District Clerk at 986-3521 ext. 8-4313 to request one. All petitions must be filed no later than Monday, April 22, 2019 at 5:00 P.M.

#Outstanding Congratulations to 5th grader, Jenna Giles, for winning the Wayne-Finger Lakes Regional Spelling Bee at Hobart and William Smith Colleges this past weekend. Jenna will be moving on to the #NationalSpellingBee competition in National Harbor, Maryland in May. In addition, congratulations to 6th grader, Kierra King for finishing in 4th place in the regional competition! And last, but not least, thank you to 6th grader, Sydney Richards, for supporting both ladies as an alternate in the regional competition. We are #GanandaProud of each of you! Way to go ladies! | #Unity On March 9th, some of the high school staff and their families went to the Rochester Curling Club for a curling lesson. After the lesson the group broke out for some friendly competitive curling play. | #Driven Congratulations to our newest#NationalJuniorHonorSociety inductees! 3 Main Types of Headaches Include:
1. Tension - a tension headache is characterized by dull pressure or tightness on both sides of the head and sometimes on the neck. Tension headaches are usually caused by stress and poor posture.
2. Migraine - characterized by moderate to severe throbbing in the head. Migraines often come coupled with more severe symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting; sensitivity to light, sound or smell; and increased pain with everyday activities.
3. Cluster - Sharp, severe pain that develops rapidly over a short period of time. These headaches are usually located in the eye region and can last anywhere from 15 minutes to hours. Pain may be accompanied by other symptoms, including nasal congestion, tearing up in one eye, eye redness and irritability
If you suffer persistent pain from these types of headaches or others, consult with your doctor for treatment.
