About the Book.
the book little women is about a mother and her four daughters, Meg, Jo, Amy, and Beth. their father is off fighting in the civil war. because their father is away the family is very poor. the girls don't go to school but instead work. although they don't have much the cherish what they have and always have fun. they especial love putting on plays and hearing their mothers stories. the girls love to give and try their hardest not to be selfish and jealous of others. the book is about how there mother guilds them to be little women and how the girls help their mother through theses tough times.
characters.
Amelia(Amy)- the youngest family and a very sweet caring girl who loves everything. she likes to take care of the girls old dolls and has a kind heart.
Josephine(Jo)- the second oldest and is tomboy. she wants to go fight in the war but because she cant she help fight for her family.
Elizabeth(Beth)- the second youngest and is very smart. she loves to read and play their old broken piano. when the befriend the rich neighbor boy he lets her play his grand piano.
Margaret(Meg)- the oldest of the girls who takes care of them and keeps them out of trouble
Mrs.March- the loving mother of the girls
