Another eSchool Update

I have been asked to pass on that we are trying some new configuration changes with eSchool to try to help some of the problems we have been experiencing. We know that eSchool went down at around 10 am this morning and are specifically trying to assess the state of eSchool after that "big bump". They are going to have me send out a form again on Wednesday to collect information from you if you are still experiencing issues with the program.

October is Digital Citizenship Month!

Every day this month you will hear an announcement (a very short announcement) that poses a question for you to discuss with your students. If you have the time, I would encourage you to take 5 minutes and have a brief discussion about the questions posed as they are asked. You can find the complete calendar of all the questions here PLUS if you look at the top left of the calendar, you will see a link to additional resources in red.

To go along with this VERY important topic, we are doing a slow Twitter chat throughout the month of October and we would love to have you join in the discussion. Follow #FISDchat and include that hashtag in your replies! We will be on Instagram as well! If you aren't sure how to participate in a Twitter chat stop by any time and I will help you!

EdPuzzle Winner!

Thank you to all who completed the EdPuzzle activity in the Google Classroom! We had several folks who did it, so I have a Sonic gift card to give away. The winner is...Lauren Antoine! Keep an eye out for more opportunities to win!

Help Us Help You

When you put in a HelpDesk ticket, please try to be as specific as possible. We have gotten several tickets lately that just say something is "broken". If you could tell us whether that means the computer won't turn on, you can't login, the monitor doesn't come on, you can't access the internet, etc. that would really help us out (and get your stuff fixed faster!). It's kind of like calling the nurse- when you call you want to tell her as much as possible as what is going on so she can bring the correct supplies/equipment with her when she comes! Remember also, a picture is worth a thousand words so Victoria loves to see those when she is troubleshooting!

Switching Projector Modes (from Extended Desktop to Duplicate)

There is a fast way to switch between display modes on your projector!
Simply select the Windows Key + “P” Key on your keyboard and the image below will pop up and allow you to choose your display.

October 5 Reminder

I am going to be trying to stop by as many PLCs as I can on Friday. If there is a specific time that would work best for your PLC, please let me know so I can schedule accordingly.
