Bible News

We reviewed and completed our lessons on Moses.

We reviewed all of our Bible verses:

Ecclesiastes 12:13b, Proverbs 3:5-6, I Thessalonians 5:18, Psalm 25:4, Psalm 95:6, Romans 3:23, Psalm 37:27, Genesis 1:1, Psalm 100.

We are excited about starting our Christmas unit, God’s Best Gift.

Memory Verse: Psalm 38:18 - "For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin."

Character Trait: Honesty: Truthful words and ways

Language Arts News

Our theme this week has been wild animals. One day we looked at the different tracks animals make. Today we looked at some of the ways animals hide to protect themselves. We marvel at how our God created each animal in such a special way.

Thank you for your faithful review of service words and word families at home. The homework that you do at home really cements the learning that takes place here at school. After Christmas we are on the road to first grade, and it is vitally important to keep things fresh in the minds of these children in order for them to be ready.

We have begun our unit on calendar skills. Our morning review board has helped prepare us for this chapter. Keep practicing number recognition up to 70.
