This week at the pool...
KMSC news for 7/16 - 7/22
RSVP for Ladies Night NOW!
The next Ladies Night will be Tuesday, July 18, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., hosted by Amie Wohlfarth, our membership director.
We're planning a special treat: a popup sale for KEEP custom-designed jewelry!
KEEP is a collective of women artisans who design pieces of jewelry that you combine into unique bracelets and necklaces. Some of the bangles, bracelets, charms, key fobs and chains are themed, and on Tuesday KEEP will be releasing a line of Disney items.
No money will change hands at the pool. If you're interested in anything, you would make purchases at your leisure through https://www.keepcollective.com/soc/989i6.
If you're planning to attend Ladies Night, your RSVP is needed TODAY. Contact Amie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please bring a salad, appetizer, or dessert to share. Soft drinks will be provided, but you will need to bring your own wine or beer.
Cost: $5 for KMSC members, $7 for their non-member guests. No free coupons will be accepted.
It's Pizza Night TONIGHT
We've got another Pizza Night at the Pool TONIGHT, July 16, during rafting!
We'll be selling Ben Yehuda pizzas for $3 slice, $5 for two slices and $20 for an entire pie, cash or credit (a transaction fee will apply for the latter), poolside from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. or while supplies last.
We need more help for this weekly social. Please volunteer to pick up or sell the pizzas at this Sign-up Genius.
A Message from the President
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Independence Day holiday! My family had a rainy but still lovely vacation at a WV state park that is one of my favorite places in the world.
There are just eight weeks of summer left! It is not too late to invite your friends and neighbors to check out our pool, "the best-kept secret in Kemp Mill." Most of our new members came on board because they heard about our pool from existing members!
Free one-day (and one-time!) passes are available on our website to those who may want to consider joining our Club. Six-week trial memberships also are still available.
In the interest of helping keep the pool safe and enjoyable for everyone, I'd like to mention the following:
*Please keep the stairs/ladders clear so that members can enter and exit the pool. I've heard that some of our young people are hanging out on the ladders, thus hindering other swimmers from getting into and out of the pool.
*We have Adult Swim for 15 minutes every hour, in part so that our young people avoid getting fatigued, and also so that adults can have an opportunity to have calm waters for their exercise. If you have children please ask them to clear the water promptly when the whistle is blown.
*Please remember that the baby pool is for very young children who are supervised by their parents. The baby pool is not monitored by lifeguard staff.
Finally, our Lost 'n Found box is getting full!
On your next visit to the pool, please go through it to make sure nothing is there that belongs to you.
Any items unclaimed by July 23rd will be donated (if in good condition) or thrown away.
As always, if you have questions, observations, suggestions, or concerns, please feel free to PM me on Facebook, or to email me at email@example.com.
See you at the pool!
- Cynthia Brandt Campagna
