Secondary Math Intervention Resources in Big Ideas Math
COHERENCE Through the Grades
Big Ideas Math provides a "Coherence Through the Grades" chart for each chapter in the Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II texts. Each of the Coherence Through the Grades charts have been combined into a single PDF document for easy access. Remember in the Big Ideas Math online Resources Library, teachers have access to previous grade level materials including Grade 6, Grade 7, and Grade 8, so they can locate resources to support the instruction of prerequisite skills for RTI2 students in their Algebra, Geometry, or Algebra II classes.

Digging into i-Ready Data to Identify Deficits
The individual student Diagnostic Report Can Dos and Next Steps provide valuable insight into the specific skill gaps with which students in RTI2 struggle. To learn more about the student Diagnostic report and a tool to help you plan your small group individualized instruction, you can utilize the documents in the KCS Mathematics Elementary Intervention and KCS Mathematics Secondary Intervention Canvas Courses found under the heading "Using Diagnostic Results to Plan Small Group Instruction." If you are not enrolled in the Canvas Courses, utilize the appropriate link below to self-enroll.

Educator Spotlight
Shelley Bright, Math Interventionist at South Doyle Middle School
Mrs. Bright hit the ground running this year by digging deeply into her students' data to support differentiation in her classroom. She analyzed each student's i-Ready Diagnostic Results by looking closely at their Can Do's and Next Steps to determine with which skills they need intensive support. Keep up the awesome work!!!
