PRINCIPAL NEWS
Greetings EES Families!
We have enjoyed the start of February and our students are filling the building with positive energy and lots of new learning!
We are beginning to plan our information sharing and gathering for next year’s incoming Kindergarteners (hard to believe we are already planning for next year!). Please see the invitation for our Family Information Night for incoming Kindergarten Families in this newsletter. If you know of someone who might be interested in attending, please feel free to spread the word!
I want to thank all of you for your continued partnership on Remote Wednesdays. I know that there are pros and cons to these days and that families are having to make changes in their schedules to support students. Thank you for your efforts, patience and flexibility as we partner together in educating your children.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
I hope everyone enjoys a fun and snowy weekend,
Ashley

GUIDANCE
Dear EES Families,
The school counselors are back in your child’s classroom teaching again. During these lessons your children will be participating in activities and engaging in conversations about accepting differences, teaching tolerance, kindness rules, and diversity and inclusion. Literature is such a lovely way to help children make connections to all of these topics. Below is a small list of books that celebrate what the children are learning.Taking just 15 minutes to read with your child is such a great way for them to feel connected and fill each other's buckets. If you have any questions about school counseling services at EES, please feel free to reach out to your child’s school counselor.

- We do not share food from home.
- We do not allow students to bring items to school from home to share with other students.
- Unfortunately that means that students may not bring in valentine’s or treats to share with their classmates or other students and staff.
