A Message from the Principal
Classified School Employee Week
Each May, we salute the important contributions of classified school employees during Classified School Employee Week. This year we are celebrating the theme, “You fill our cup each day, now it's your turn!” Online and on-campus, they’re behind the scenes, on the front lines, in the classroom. They make it happen, for our teachers/academic staff, administrators, students, and communities. Classified school employees have remained resilient. They’ve fallen down and helped each other stand up. And yet, we continue to face challenges unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes. But they have faced them, together. With a smile, some courage, and a shoulder to lean on. They bring themselves, their talents, and their passion to our schools. Their work is more important now than ever to keep our students learning and work towards a kinder future. Our classified staff includes: office, instructional assistants, curriculum specialists, custodians, safety supervisors, behavior support specialists, librarian, science tech, computer tech, and project manager.
We have a New Office Assistant! - Meet Mrs. Sylvia Villa
My name is Sylvia Villa and I have had the privilege of working in different schools in the Newhall School District over the years and I am delighted to now join the Eagle Family at Newhall Elementary.
My family moved from Mexico City to Santa Clarita 19 years ago and we were blessed to have such a wonderful community to live in. I have been married to my husband Jorge for 33 years and we have two children, Alfonso and Ana as well as a soon to be daughter in law Sarah who we are happy to welcome into our family.
In my free time I like to watch movies, listen to music, dance and spend time with my family either playing board games or enjoying the outdoors together.
I love nature and my favorite places to be are the ocean and the mountains.
I am here to help and I am truly honored to be able to serve our Eagle community at Newhall.
