2G Citizens reporting for the people...

Our 2G reporters have been working hard to bring you this week's news! Enjoy!

Social Studies: Urban, Rural, and Suburban Co-Authored by Tommy & Mrs. G.

This week in Social Studies we learned about urban, suburban, and rural communities. It was really fun learning about all of them. We had to draw a picture and label each one. Urban communities are cities. There are lots of people and buildings. Suburban communities are like Haddonfield, with lots of houses, places to work, play, and shop. Rural communities are like where Mrs. Grimenstein grew up. There are not very many houses, and lots of land. It was really fun learning about urban, suburban, and rural!

Dinomite Buddies! By Mark

This week in school we had preschool buddies. My buddy is Dechlin and he is so cute. We did Go Noodle: field trip to a cell phone and Bones. We read a book. The book was chicken soup with rice. Have you ever have buddies when you were in school?

Testing at the Nurse by Alexander

This week we had an eye test in the nurse’s office. It was fun because we got to have two tattoos. We also had a hearing test. I did well. We had to listen to headphones and tell when we heard a beep. This is my second time doing a hearing test.

Jump Rope for Heart By Caroline

This week in school we had Jump Rope for Heart in P.E. My Jump rope for Heart team is called the Green Jumping Raptor dogs and my teammates are Johnny Everman, Alyce Lehman and Aidan Green. One of our stations was Air Pogo Jumper. One of the middle stations was Jump.

Reader's C.A.F.E. By Mrs. G

This week in Reader's CAFE we focused on understanding story structure. Readers had to identify the main, and secondary characters, as well as the setting, problem, and solution. Students enjoyed listening to and discussing story structure for The Berenstain Bear's Funny Valentine, and The Biggest Valentine Ever. They created trifolds to show the different parts of story structure. When reading with your child at home, make sure to stop and ask about some of these features.
