COMMUNITY
The 7th Grade class provided extra Easter joy to some very deserving people in Beaumont. Last week, with the help and leadership of Laurie Leister, the students assembled 32 Easter baskets for the children at the Women’s and Children’s Shelter and the transitional living facility owned by Family Services. The children in these facilities range in age from 16 years old to new born and each basket was individually packed with age appropriate gifts and a whole lot of EASTER LOVE! Thank you 7th Grade students, teachers, and parent Laurie Leister!
SPIRITUALITY
Our entire school community enjoyed a meaningful Holy Week at All Saints, beginning with a reading of the Passion of Christ, then Holy Week expressed through music by our own Julie Coleman, followed by our traditional foot washing service with a special message provided by Sally Wilson, and ending with the Stations of the Cross. Today, we enjoyed a special Easter Holy Communion service. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to these special services and to all those who made a special sacrifice to attend. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Our 5th Grade students accomplished a monumental task last week completing their TEXAS WALKABOUT assignment. Students were divided into ten groups, and taught about their specific area of research on the state of Texas, to classes of PK3 through 4th Grade. Our "Texas Experts" taught their lessons from iPads, provided visual aids, and served indigenous snacks and drinks to their guests. What a wonderful experience for ALL!
