Countdown to finals
Please keep in mind that no finals will be given early. If a student is absent either of those days, they will need to make arrangements to make up their assessments after our return from Winter Break.
Please be sure to take a look at the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to stay on top of your student's attendance and grades. Remember that the site provides access to your student's information 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
FCHS Theatre earns one of the State's highest honors!
From Michael Howard, FCHS Theatre Director and Performing Arts Department Chair:
FCHS Theatre has some exciting news to share with you: our fall production of Bring It On been selected as the 2020 Indiana State Thespian Conference Featured Show in January! This is the highest honor in the state a theatre program can achieve with a production. This is very exciting for us as Franklin Central is again the host site for the conference for a third time in 2020. Bring It On will serve as the final performance of the conference in front of almost 900 thespians from around the state! This is not only a representation of our theatre program, but of the collaboration of our performing arts department! A HUGE shout out to our choir folks (Andrew Knaup for vocal direction) who make these students sing like no one else! More information to come as we put together a public performance before state conference.
I would also like to add that this is possible due to the hard work of many amazing departments here at FC and FTCSC. One of our judges said "you can feel sitting in the audience that your school and community support the work these students are doing up on that stage." So, thank you to IT who helps us ensure our systems are up and running so tickets run smoothly; the ladies in the media center who helped cricut letters for all of our uniforms AND edit videos for the production; custodial who ensures our fire alarms don't go off from the hazer machine and gets the auditorium ready every night; maintenance who makes sure our infrastructure is in working order and repairs things you didn't know even needed it until you go to use it; our athletic department who lends us mats when we need them; and our administration who has invested in the performing arts! As you can see it takes a village and YOU ALL are a part of something special.

NEW Immunization Requirements for 2020-2021
Dear parents/guardians,
Attached are the new Immunization Requirements for the 2020-2021 School Year. There has been a change. All students K-12 will now need 2 doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine with at least 6 months between the doses. We wanted to make you aware of these changes. Seniors still are required to have the booster dose (#2 MCV4 or Menactra) meningitis vaccine as well. Please check your child’s shot record and contact your provider to schedule appointments. A good time to receive updated vaccinations is over breaks so school is not missed.
To find a clinic that is administering immunizations, please contact the Marion County Health Department at 317-221-5700 to schedule an appointment or to find out about their same day services. Community Clinic at Walgreens may also have some immunizations available. To find a Community Clinic at Walgreens near you, please call 1-855-626-7761.
Lastly, attached is information regarding the flu, covering your cough, and handwashing. By simply covering your cough and adhering to good hand hygiene, this minimizes the spreading of these germs.

Attendance Office - 317-803-5655
Students that are leaving early will need to bring a note, signed by the guardian, to either the Attendance Office or the FA office before school to get their pass to leave or be picked up.
You must leave a message on the attendance line regarding your students absence even if you spoke to a teacher, nurse, guidance counselor, etc.
Students are not released to someone "on the list" unless the parent/guardian has notified the Attendance Office for that specific instance.
If you have already given your student permission to leave ill, please call the attendance line and a pass will be sent for your student to leave. Do not send your student to the clinic if you have already told them they can leave or are being picked up sick.
