Parent Teacher Home Visit Program
In case you missed this, the District has recently announced that we are resuming the home visits program in partnership with Parent Teacher Home Visits, a non-profit, grassroots network, in an effort to build stronger relationships with our families. Please read Dr. Tremblay’s letter about this program on the FPS Website: https://bit.ly/FPS91622.
The Congressional App Challenge
I hope that this email finds you well. I am emailing you today from the Office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark to invite your students to participate in the 2022 Congressional App Challenge. The CAC was created in 2013 as a nonpartisan challenge hosted by Members of Congress across the country to encourage valuable, hands-on programming and computer science experience for young adults. Our district office works every year to host this program for the ambitious middle and high schoolers in the 5th Congressional District of Massachusetts. I hope that your school or local program will accept our invitation and collaborate with our office for this coming season.
The Congressional App Challenge is a nonpartisan, national program, and is not part of a political campaign or event. Each year, the winners of the challenge earn the chance to have their app featured in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C. Your role as our point of contact is to receive our emails and reminders, as well as let us know of any questions or concerns coming from you or your students.
We are happy to accept app submissions from middle schoolers and high schoolers enrolled within the Massachusetts 5th District by November 1, 2022, at 12 pm EST. For more information about the challenge, including the registration form and a list of previous winners, please access https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me by replying to this email or contacting our district office at (617) 354-0292.
Sincerely,
Joshua Lam (he/him)
District Staff Assistant
Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark (MA-05)

2022-23 Master Schedule
Attendance and Dismissals
Attendance Matters! - With a collective effort from our community, we aim to prioritize attendance for all our students. It is essential students are present in and on time to school.
School hours: 7:25-1:55
Morning Schedule
- Doors open: 6:55
- Students proceed to first period at the 7:15 warning bell.
- Flyer News, daily announcements in first period 7:20-7:28. Students watch Flyer News with their first period class. Teachers send daily attendance in first period before class starts at 7:28.
- Students are tardy if not in class at 7:25. Students arriving late must get a pass from the attendance office in the main lobby.
Reporting Attendance (Absences/Tardies/Dismissals):
Please use this email when parents and guardians are reporting all excused absences and dismissals, fhsattendance@framingham.k12.ma.us, as this is the most efficient method of communication regarding attendance. In case of emergencies, other modes of communication are acceptable.
11th/12th Grade Privileges
Privileges are for 11th and 12th grade students only. 9th and 10th graders are not allowed to leave the school building without dismissal from a parent/guardian.
iDecide Notification to Families
- Information about the program can be found here
- If you do not wish your child to participate, you must fill out this opt-out form here. (English, Spanish, Portuguese)
Food Delivery
Mr. Nardi and the FHS Food Service team provide an outstanding array of breakfast and lunch options for our students. Therefore, students may not order/purchase delivered food or drinks from outside of Framingham High School while on school grounds. All outside delivery services (Grub Hub, UBER Eats, Door Dash etc.) will be turned away by FHS staff. Only bagged lunch deliveries provided by parent/guardian will be allowed. Coffee/beverage deliveries will not be accepted at any time during the school day.
