The Life Principles
You are a genius and the world needs your contribution!
Here's what we need to KNOW!
Math: We will continue to study place value. We will be practicing representing numbers in four different forms.... standard form, base ten blocks form, expanded form and word form. We will begin comparing whole numbers using the greater than and less than signs. We have been practicing skip counting starting at ANY number between 0-100. Ask your learner to skip count by 10's starting at 22. Can they do 2's or 3's?
Science: I'm sure you've heard by now... Our insects came in! This week we will focus on meal worms. Ask your learner to describe the life cycle of a Mealworm. How is it different from the life cycle of a butterfly?
Language Arts: We will be setting reading goals this week and conferencing about how we will reach our highest reading potential! We will continue our discussion on poetry, this week we will analyze a poem's purpose! Please remember to read with your child every night. Ask your learner what their reading goal is!
Social Studies: We will continue our learning on the importance of local history and government. We will work together in groups to complete two mind missions! It is challenging to work with a team but we are getting better at it! Ask your learner if they used the Life Principle of courtesy this week during Social Studies.
