PES Principal Message
November 3, 2022
We are thankful for our Veterans! Our 2nd Graders will be performing their annual Veteran's Day concert this evening at 5:15 in the Puster Café. Any and all are welcome to attend.
Puster Families,
It is officially November and we are all about the practice of gratitude at Puster! This evening, our 2nd graders will host their annual Veteran's Day performance. We would LOVE for any and all community members to attend this heartfelt practice in gratitude for all who serve and have served.
If you are new to Lovejoy ISD, you are also new to the Lovejoy Letter Campaign. This practice of students and families writing a little note of "thanks" to our staff members means the WORLD! You'll find letter boxes at our front and back entrances. Students can drop in notes anytime. I still have all of my letters from all of my years in Lovejoy. This practice of gratitude is such a priceless gift!
Tonight, our Leopards take on Melissa at Leopard Stadium. You'll find event details and reminders below. Thank you for ensuring our elementary students are with an adult throughout the stadium for the entirety of the event. Good luck Leopards! #RollPards
As a reminder, Monday and Tuesday next week are "No School" days for students. Our staff is looking forward to learning and growing together in professional development. Our campus office will be closed those two days.
Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to set those clocks back on Saturday night!
Puster Proud,
Holly
Thursday Night Lights Reminders
Tonight our Leopards take on Melissa at the Lovejoy Leopards Stadium. As exciting as the game is, the pageantry of a Friday night football game is special because so many of our students get to be involved. Whether it is the band marching at halftime, the cheerleaders getting the crowd on their feet, or the student trainers ensuring the safety of our players, the event is more special when more students are involved.
Here are a few reminders as we kick off our first home game of the season on September 2 against the Argyle Eagles:
Ticketing
Tickets will be available for purchase during the week of the game at www.Lovejoyleopards.net.
To expedite admission into the stadium, please download your ticket to your phone prior to arriving so our ticket takers can quickly scan your ticket
Parking
Parking will be at a premium this year as we expect very large crowds. Arrive early in order to park in the stadium parking lot
Be patient as our parking lot attendants help you find available parking spaces

Notes from the Library
Library stats:
1,267 titles circulated last week,
14,392 titles have circulated so far for this year!
Library: We are focusing on thankfulness and gratitude, while also discussing that a library is a place we share our thinking.
We can think critically, create and share knowledge.
4th grade STEM: We will be reading the book by Peter Reynolds, Our Table. We will then use the design process in collaborative groups to creating a table out of 5 sheets of white computer paper
And 12 inches of masking tape. The goal is to see which table can support the most books!

At Puster, we know EVERY staff member goes above and beyond, though we may not always hear about it. Who are our unsung heroes? Has a Puster teacher or staff member gon above and beyond for your child/family? We want to hear about it! Parents, community members, staff members and students are invited to share.
