Updated SEL information that includes Pasco grade-level SEL benchmarks aligned to each text along with information on approaches to addressing sensitive content. Additional opportunities beyond natural connections to the theme(s) are called out in the lesson plans.
Student-facing Canvas pages are available to use with students with pre-loaded discussion forums and writing tasks. You can still edit, revise, and personalize these Canvas pages to use with your students!

July 8: Captain America and the Responsibility of Choice
The stories and films about the character Captain America can be used to engage our students to better understand the economic and ethical principles surrounding choice that will affect them for the rest of their lives.
July 15: The Incredibles and Lessons in Entrepreneurship
The two INCREDIBLES films are great examples of movies that can engage our students and teach them lessons in entrepreneurship, where strong values, creative thinking, and persistent effort are keys to success.
July 21: AP Economics Teaching Tips
This workshop will demonstrate and discuss ways to teach the foundations of the free enterprise system and enhance the effectiveness of classroom instruction for AP Micro and Macroeconomics.
July 27 and August 3: Global Literacies: Using Children's Literature to Teach About SDG's - Two Part Webinar Series
The purpose of the webinars is to provide educators with best practices in using literature to teach global literacies: critical thinking, decision-making, and entrepreneurial thinking about critical global issues. The first 20 educators to register AND attend will be eligible to receive a $50 stipend and free books.
