The 8th grade will be working the Washington K of C Burger Night- TONIGHT, to raise money for the Pro-Life trip in January. Come out for a delicious burger and fries from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington. Carry outs are available.


Fall picture day will be Thursday, September 26th. Order forms are in your child’s Thursday folder. This is a DRESS UP DAY. No jeans, shorts, leggings, athletic wear or t-shirts.


SGS will be participating in this parade on Friday, September 27th. Dismissal will be at Noon . NO LUNCH WILL BE SERVED & NO SKIP WILL BE AVAILABLE. Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade, but all students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please meet at the SFBRHS parking lot by 12:30. Please park on the street or the back parking lot. The front parking lot is for floats ONLY. The homecoming theme is “Homegrown Homecoming”. Our theme for theparade is: Momma’s don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys. So the attire will be “Western” – cowboy hats, jeans, bandana’s, western shirts, etc. OR SGS spirit wear.


We will have a dress down day on Friday, September 27 for the Borgia Homecoming Parade. Please wear “Western” attire or SGS spirit wear (blue/white colors). Please remember shorts must have a 6 inch inseam. Please check parent/student handbook for dress down guidelines.


Mark your calendars! Eighth grade students will be having a breakfast on Sunday, October 6th from 8:00 a.m. – noon in the Parish Center. This fundraiser will benefit the Pro Life Trip to Washington D.C. in January. Breakfast tickets can be purchased through any of the 8th grade students. Walk-ins are welcome. Carry-outs are available.


Invitations will be coming out soon! SGS will celebrate Grandparent’s Day on Wednesday, October 9. We will begin with Mass at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Center. Following mass we will have snacks and activities in the classroom. We will dismiss at NOON on this day.


Mark your calendars! Our first H & S meeting of the school year will be October 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please try to attend.


On October 30th we will be having an early dismissal at NOON for Parent- Teacher Conferences. There will be NO SKIP on this day!


SGS Carnival and Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 25, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Trunk or Treating starts at 7:30 p.m. There will be food trucks, games, contests, bounce house, cake walk, face painting, smores , hayrides and lots of fun for


We are looking for individuals to decorate trunks. The trunk or treat will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center parking lot. Judging for best trunk will take place after the costume contest so please have your vehicle in place and set up by 7:00. Please RSVP to Kayla Strubberg if you would like to decorate a trunk.

We are also looking for candy and small toy donations for the Trunk or Treat and games. Please send any donations to the school office marked Trunk or Treat.

We will have the cake walk again this year as part of the carnival games. If you would like to donate any goodies, please have them turned into the school office by noon on Friday, October 25th. Please RSVP to Kayla by Monday, October 21, if you can contribute a dessert.

Just a reminder, if you are wanting to volunteer as a room parent, attend field trips or pro life trip you will have to attend and complete the Protecting God's Children workshop. This includes; grandparents, aunt/uncle, nanny, BFF's, etc. If you have already attended, there is no need to attend again.

The upcoming date I will be co-hosting is October 17 at St. Ann. Go to the following link to register for either workshop.
