Bonjour!

Dear Families,

First graders are off to a great start in French this year! This newsletter will be delivered to your inbox once a month with photos, sound clips and vocabulary words to show you what we're learning in the French room.

For the past several weeks we have been reviewing colors, numbers (1-30), common verbs and adjectives, and introductory phrases and questions. This month, as well as continuing to work on the themes mentioned above, we will be focusing on school supplies, classroom objects, and directions (such as "raise your hand" or "sit at a desk"). Throughout the year first graders will also study French art and culture by learning about the different monuments of Paris. This month we are learning about the Eiffel Tower! Scroll down to the bottom for more fun ways to explore the Eiffel Tower at home.

Please feel to contact me with any questions or comments. I have so enjoyed getting to know your children these past several weeks, and I look forward to continuing to explore the French language and culture with them throughout the year!

Merci,
