Learning Experiences This Week
Blocks: legos, park items, wooden blocks, fish, fishing poles
Dramatic Play: Fishing props, campfire, camping gear and Bait and Tackle Shop
Sensory Table: Water with fish and fishing poles
Cognitive Experiences: Go Fish with colored fish cards, counting marshmallows--using tweezers to pick them up, Fishing Around game working on hand-eye-coordination and Going Fishing game working on number and color recognition
Art Experiences: paint with a marshmallow on a stick, handprint campfire and water color campfire pictures
Fine Motor Experiences: Make binoculars out of toilet paper tubes, dot marker paper plate fish, campfire picture with cutting out the fire flames and camping worksheets
Small Groups: (1) Handprint fish bowls working on creativity with painting and decorating a fish bowl. (2) Make Smore's trail mix working on following a recipe and counting cups of items (3) Paper plate fish bowls working on fine motor skills of painting and cutting while demonstrating creativity. (4) Camping Bingo working on a variety of camping vocabulary and game playing skills.
