St Mark & St Cuthbert, Cleadon Park and St Peter's, Harton
Welcome...
...to our occasional mailings to keep you informed of what's going on, running alongside our print publication The Lantern. First up, a quick reminder of our remaining Christmas services - so far 500 people have been to Christingle services and over 100 to Carols by Candlelight, but it's not too late to start Christmas with Christ. Join us next week, as follows:
So far this month...
...as well as the assorted carol singing, we've welcomed two new children into baptism, three into communion, and thirty of our friends who don't make it to church anymore to a Christmas 'tea @ three'. Nearly thirty also to an illustrated talk on the Wise Men in Art, and over 100 sixth-formers to their end of term worship. The brownies and guides at St Peter's have been in for a church tour, and at St Mark & St Cuthbert shared Christingle with the local Beavers and enjoyed a fine Christmas party. Christmas coffee mornings and a Christmas market opened the doors to welcome visitors into both churches.
Externally, we've done a bit of work - the decorating is done at St Mark's and the roof work at St Peter's, and both have had some new temporary signage. Some more arresting than others...in both cases, a necessary make-over.

2016 Wedding couples...
...this one is for you. We'll be shortly in touch with agreed fees for 2016, and a reminder if you need to be coming along regularly to worship before completing an electoral roll form. You will know if this is you, and we look forward to seeing you in a service soon ;-)
Baptisms
We have so many baptism requests that it's difficult to fit them all in. 2016 may be the year we need to change our timings for baptism to fit around weddings. We have been glad to welcome children into our main worship services, through asking those who live out of the parishes to join us in worship. This will be our plan for the future, and we look forward to growing our junior members further. There will also be some revision to our baptism preparation, and we will be putting in place some follow-up too, so we look forward to seeing some of you again.
