From the bus drivers
Thank you, Teachers!
Thank you for supporting the bus drivers in helping students learn the bus expectations! We look forward to partnering with you throughout the year recognizing students who are modeling appropriate behavior, as well as providing ongoing reminders and re-teaching of the bus expectations. This is a great example of a Whole School - Whole Community effort to supporting all students!
"Bus Expectation Experts"
Our first round of teaching the bus expectations last week went well. Thank you to those teachers who reviewed the PowerPoint and gave your students the yellow “Bus Expert” tickets. We drew one teacher name from each school and that teacher will be receiving a personal “Thank You” from the drivers via mail.
Thank you, Mrs. Schreckengost (Sand Hill) and Ms. Lahn (Belfair) – your name was drawn from the tickets!
It's not too late!
If you didn’t get a chance to review the Bus Expectation PowerPoint, it’s not too late! Let your administrator know if you need more yellow bus expert tickets as well.

MTSS for the Bus
Did you know that we worked on our MTSS Blueprints last year also? Here are a few things we are looking forward to doing this year for our students:
Providing Bus Pawsitives tickets
Joining your PBIS assemblies to present Big Wheelies certificates and participate in skits about bus expectations
Sending “Thank You” cards to parents of students that demonstrate our bus expectations
Other systems we added to our MTSS Blueprint:
Matrix that defines what each bus expectation looks and sounds like
PowerPoint with pictures so teachers can help with teaching, and drivers can print for use on the bus
Bus Response Plan (Flowchart) for responding to minor/major behaviors
Updated bus-Office Discipline Referral
