The Wolves Den
August 26, 2020
Welcome Ms. Schultz
My Student's Schedule??
Schedules were mailed on Monday, Aug. 24th. Included in the mailing were:
- Your child's assigned electives
- Your core teachers
- Your assigned day to attend school in person
- Your assigned door to enter and exit the building
Families will also receive a map to locate their child's assigned door.
Entry & Exit Procedures
Each advisory has been assigned a door through which they will enter and exit the building every day. The door is listed at the bottom of your schedule and a map has been included for your reference. Parents should drop off their child on any of the following streets nearest their assigned door:
- South 23rd
- Division St
- South 22nd
Please make sure your child is wearing his/her mask, and please remind them to remain 6 feet apart from other humans as they line up. Advisory teachers and other adults will be available daily to meet and greet students and prepare them to enter the building. Each day, students will have their temperature taken before they enter the building, and they will be escorted to their classroom by their advisory teacher.
Doors will open at 7:35 am, please drop your children off as close to that time as possible.
At the end of the day, students will be escorted to the same door at the end of the day. Please make arrangements to pick them up on any of the streets listed above.
Electives
While this news may be disappointing to some, students will experience a wide array of learning opportunities, and these electives will change after the first semester. In addition, 8th grade students who took Spanish or French last year and who wish to take Spanish 2 or French 2, may do so virtually. A sign up opportunity will be sent out in a future newsletter. Students who wish to enroll in band, orchestra, or chorus, will follow a similar sign up procedure soon.
Fall Athletics
School Supplies
Students will not be using lockers during the blended learning model. Please send only the necessary school supplies with them in a backpack, which they will be able to keep with them in a classroom all day. In addition, please remind your child that Washington Middle School is a cell phone-free environment. All cell phones must be silenced and stored in their backpacks.
Below is a link to a list of supplies needed for our 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Chromebooks
If there is an issue with the Chromebook, please click the link below and fill out a web help ticket. Our technology staff will then start the process of fixing the Chromebooks.
