What is Budding?
Budding is a horticultural technique used to join parts from two or more plants so that they appear to grow as a single plant.
Basic Tools
- Budding tape
- Budding knife

2 Common Techniques for Budding
T- Budding (for fruit trees) & Patch Budding (for trees with thicker bark)
Find a good scion
Approach the fruit tree and cut off scion, or the bud which will be implanted on root stock.
Cut of Scoin
slice the bottom and top gently
Cut T- shape
Place scion onto rootstock and then bind with budding tape
Patch Budding
-A patch of bark is removed and a same sized patch with the bud is inserted in its place
