208 WHS Students Receive their Oregon Seal Of Biliteracy Award 🥇
Woodburn School District has collaborated with the Oregon Seal of Biliteracy (OSSB) since 2015. As of this year, 1,027 students have received their OSSB! WSD recognizes the value of students keeping their native languages. Participation in the OSSB is voluntary at WSD however WSD highly encourages students to earn their OSSB as it helps prove their high level of proficiency in more than one language.
The OSSB award recognizes student literacy in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in one or more World Languages, in addition to English.
This year we recognized students who speak French, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, and English.
Once again Congratulations to all 208 Seal of Biliteracy recipients from Woodburn High School!
Way to go class of '23!
