Where Excellence is the Standard - Week of September 13, 21
RANDLE HIGH SCHOOL UPDATE
Dear Randle High School Families,
As we reach the mid-way point of the first 6 weeks, progress report grades are available to monitor through skyward. We will also be sending home an electronic copy through email. Teachers have been working to grade assignments and enter them to ensure the most accurate grade possible is reflected in Skyward. Each teacher should have three minor and one major grades. Grades may be lower than expected; however, there is plenty of time to raise grades if students apply themselves and attend tutorials. We have attached the tutorial schedule in our weekly newsletter. Many, if not all, of our teachers are accepting late work. Nothing hurts an average like a zero. Please stress to your student the importance of turning in all their assignments. I have seen firsthand that the work is usually completed and in their backpacks, they just forget to turn it in.
Monday, September 13th is our Open House. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, hear their expectations, and get a better understanding of the course. We want all students to be successful and in order to do so we must work collaboratively with you to ensure our students are afforded every opportunity to be successful.
At Open House we will have two information tables that I hope you take the time to visit. Table #1 – Protectors of the Pride (P. O. P.) is an organization for our fathers. This organization will assist in the morning with drop off, monitoring the hallways, and helping at dismissal. Those who are interested should stop by this table, complete the registration sheet with your contact information and shirt size.
Table #2 - “TOP CATS.” Top Cats is our Parent Teacher Organization. We have over 100 parents who have stated they are interested in being part of the PTO and we are now looking for our Top Cats board members. Our goal is to have the largest PTO in the district!
Events for the week of September 13 - September 17:
Monday, September 13: OPEN HOUSE
Tuesday, September 14: Randle VB vs. Lamar Cons at Randle HS 4:30/5:30
Thursday, September 16: Randle Tennis vs. Foster at Foster 4:30
Thursday, September 16: Randle Freshman Football vs. Humble High School 4:30
Friday, September 17: Randle Football JV vs San Antonio Pieper 6pm

Traffic:
Traffic on Minonite will continue to be congested until future road construction has been approved. I encourage you to leave the house early to ensure your child arrives on time to class. Classes begin at 8:15am. If you qualify for school transportation, that is the most efficient way for your child to get to school on time.
Sincerely
John Montelongo

Beginning of the Year Forms for Parents
For the 2021-22 school year, all required Lamar Consolidated ISD beginning-of-year forms must be completed online through the Skyward Family Access Center.
Offering these forms digitally allows you the convenience of only updating information that has changed from last school year, while also helping us maintain accurate information in our student information system.
Instructions, important dates and technical assistance regarding the online forms can be found by clicking here. Included on this page is a link to reset your Family Access username/password if you have forgotten it.
Online forms will be available through the Family Access Center starting Aug. 1 and all forms need to be submitted no later than Sept. 17th. Your student’s schedule will not be available online through the Family Access Center until all of the beginning-of-year forms are completed for your student and after the campus has released schedules. Student schedules will be available online on Wednesday, Aug. 18 if all online forms have been completed.
For those who need access to a computer or the Internet, computers will be available on campus Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. starting August 1, 2021.
