School Re-Opening Plan
VIRTUAL SCHOOL FAMILIES -
Your scholar's schedule will be changing once we return to in person learning. We have many teachers that are working with virtual AND classic scholars which means our scheduling has to allow them to meet with both groups during the day. The current schedule does not allow for this to happen unfortunately. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays will stay the same, with slight modifications on the start times of each class. Wednesdays and Fridays is where the change will happen - scholars will attend their periods 5-8 in the afternoon and have their learning options in the morning. The new schedule is linked below under the heading VIRTUAL SCHEDULE. Reminder- the schedule WILL NOT change until we return to in person learning.
CLASSIC SCHOOL FAMILIES -
Each scholar will be required to agree to and sign our Scholar Agreements. Please begin talking to your scholar about how school will be running when we return. It will NOT be business as usual and we have no flexibility in scholars who choose not to comply with the health and safety requirements. Click here to view the Scholar Agreements. We will be highlighting several items each week so you can have some talking points to share with your scholar. Again, this is for EVERYONE'S safety!
This week's focus: FACE COVERINGS
Face masks are required for all scholars
Face masks must be worn when in the classroom, during passing periods, and before and after school
Face masks may only be removed while eating snacks, lunch or drinking water
Face masks must be worn during PE, unless participating in activities that require heavy exertion (teacher discretion)
Face masks must cover their mouth and nose
An acceptable mask does not include bandanas, single cloth, neck gaiters (scarves), or ones with vents and valves.
Any scholar who refuses to wear a face mask may be transferred to Vista Virtual, Vista’s online school option.
VIRTUAL SCHEDULE
As we get closer to the opening of Classic RMMS, please be aware that our schedule will be changing for ALL scholars, including those in the VIRTUAL model! Thank you in advance for your flexibility! For now, the current schedule is what we are following.

Please complete the Alternative Income Verification Form to support our school! Check your email for more information.
From the Superintendent:
All school districts in California are required to submit an annual notification of students who need additional support. This year, more than ever before, we want to make sure that all families are able to provide information so that we may continue to expand support for students during this challenging time. The income verification form that we will be sending to parents in the next two weeks is strictly confidential and will only be used to submit the annual application for school funding. While it is not our intent to ask personal income questions, our district wide funding depends largely on parents responding to this request. In fact, over 35,000 meals distributed over the past four months and the 14,000 computer devices distributed were the result of this funding from the state and federal level. In the recent months, many people have lost their jobs or dramatically reduced their work hours, and that has resulted in a dramatic reduction in their annual income. Our school district is ready and prepared to support students from these families in a variety of ways, including breakfast and lunch, counseling, family engagement support, technology and internet access, nursing support, and many, many other areas. Please assist us by providing this valuable information so that we may maximize the state and federal funding for students.
Sincerely,
Matt Doyle, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
