Migrant Living Conditions
Many migrant workers created their own spaces to live with their few items they owned. If they were lucky, they had protection from rain, snow and other weather conditions. Migrants needed to be able to organize their temporary living areas and begin the journey to the next destination, looking for work nearby or across the country.
Physically challenging work
Migrants worked in fields, on farms and for vineyard owners. They often used tools, but most of the work was difficult on their physical energy level and health.
