Gunn Together Times, part 2
From the Office of Principal Stratton, August 20, 2020
Dear Gunn Families,
We hope your first week of school went well and everyone is successfully adapting new routines while navigating the online learning environment.
This message contains important information about our upcoming Back To School Night, visiting campus, reminders about authenticating student accounts for Zoom Meetings, and other information about Schoology and Annual Data Update.
Upcoming Title IX Training
Due to the relatively new online distance learning platform and the potential challenges this may present for students, we have invited a Title IX attorney who has extensive experience in providing training to students to present a session during the Gunn Together period on Wednesday, Aug 26. The training is a 30-minute presentation that explores harassment and discrimination concerns that students may face while attending high school with a focus on online interactions. This is the first in a series of trainings that we plan to present to students this year.
Back To School Night-Date Change!
This year’s Virtual Back to School Night has been pushed back a week, and will now be held on the evening of September 3rd. We will send out the necessary information, soon, but please mark your calendar.
School Contact Mitigation
Preventative measures have been implemented to help mitigate COVID-19 exposure. All PAUSD campuses remain closed. The following procedures are intended to keep our community healthy.
Parents or students are only allowed on campus when absolutely necessary, by appointment only. Please plan to meet outside.
When on school grounds, symptom screening (QR codes are posted around campus) and social distancing protocols apply to everyone.
PPE is also mandatory including face masks unless medically inadvisable.
